FAQ

What is ZenTube?
ZenTube is a relaxation media engine that allows users to have control over their audio-visual experience. Features include:
  • Multi-track soundscapes with individual sliders and built-in mix presets
  • Separate ambience and music genre panels
  • Configurable video or audio fading over time
  • On-screen video brightness control with Luma or Darken modes
  • Videos that never, ever end
  • Both on-demand and live video for all content
  • Plus comments, replies, likes, live chat - you know.. the normal features you'd expect from a media site.
How do I use ZenTube?
It was designed to be similar to other media apps you're used to, but with additional features. We've made it as intuitive as possible. So play around with it. You'll get the hang of it easily.
Why was ZenTube created?
The relaxation and ambience movement has been growing for many years. It has been obvious for some time that users needed a more updated way to enjoy content. To have access to alter the soundscape of a video, select ambience sounds, music genre, or both, control audio/video fade over time, adjust video brightness without entering device menus, with endless playback and other needed features is truly mandatory if 'Zen' is to be fully and easily achieved, whether it be for focus, relaxation, prayer, sleep, or just to enjoy some peace. ZenTube is the realization of that idea.
What powers ZenTube?
Around 20,000+ lines of fresh Javascript, HTML, JQuery, and CSS, controlling several servers housing a zen-load of audio and video content. Much of the code was custom scripted, and along with the help of various IT professionals and library scripts for audio/video playback, ZenTube became a reality. The project took a year and a half to complete, through countless waves of stress, sweat, and virtual tears, not to mention several fits of despair. It was worth it.
ZenTube doesn't transfer nearly as much data to my device as other video streaming sites. How is that possible?
In short, updated code coupled with the latest technology specifically geared toward ambience videos. In fact, while at the same audio and video quality, streaming a ZenTube video all day or night (on-demand or live) will typically use only around 1/200th the amount of data as streaming the same video from big-tech. A half of 1%.
Is there a ZenTube app yet?
We're working on it, however our website is fully responsive (mobile friendly) and will look and behave like an app on your smart phone. You can also create a short cut on your home screen so it starts just like an app as well, plus that will get rid of most browser menus. On your mobile device, just visit our website. In Google Chrome, click the 3 dots at the upper right, and find 'Add to Home Screen' in the list. Boom.. a ZenTube icon. Tap it - enjoy it. In some versions of Safari and Firefox there is a similar option.
Is ZenTube available on Roku or FireStick TV yet?
Yea.. about that. It's in the works, but not quite ready. Contact us and we'll ping you when it is. You can try running ZenTube in your TV internet browser (like a webpage), however it may not function. TV's are finicky.
Who created ZenTube?
An ambience content creator for big-tech, previously demonetized for vague, bewildering, and in some cases, downright inaccurate reasons who decided it was time to create a better way for users to enjoy relaxation media.
Why do some ambience tracks have 'RD' in the name?
Some of our ambience tracks have sporadic sounds that come and go, such as thunder. You may not hear them right away so we've labeled them with 'RD' to denote that these are 'random' tracks.
Can I upload my relaxation content to ZenTube?
Yes.. eventually. Like other media sites, that has always been the goal. Please contact us so we can notify you when this feature will be available. We're working on it. The good news to look forward to is that you will no longer have to create and upload long 8, 10, 12 hour relaxation videos, or stream them live yourself - that's an archaic thing of the past. Our site handles eternal playback for you, and your content will automatically be available both as on-demand -and- live. Plus you can either supply your own audio, or select from our vast library. It's literally an ambience creator's dream come true.
Is ZenTube free?
Yes.. for now. Eventually it may become like other content apps where there is a small, painless fee of around $5 per month. Basically the cost of that vente latte often bought each morning to shake off a full night's sleep never fully attained. So go ahead - fall in love with ZenTube.
